What 4× means
A 4× upscale targets four times the source dimensions on each side. For example, a 1000 × 750 image targets 4000 × 3000 pixels. That is sixteen times as many output pixels overall.
Very large input images can be fitted before processing to stay inside active output limits, so the effective scale can be lower for oversized sources.
How to use it
Go to the main tool and upload one or several JPG, PNG or WebP files.
Select the fixed 4× mode for the active source image.
Use the draggable comparison divider and zoom controls to check edges, textures and faces.
Save the processed JPEG when the enlargement looks right.
When to use 4×
4× upscaling is useful when a source is too small for a larger layout, product listing, presentation, print, wallpaper or crop. If the image is already visually clean, a larger output can be more useful than aggressive restoration.
When the source has facial blur, compression or damage, use the main tool to compare the 4× result against Safe, GFPGAN, CodeFormer or Restore rather than assuming one method is always best.
